Bob was born in Amarillo, Texas on May 2, 1941. On Friday, June 12, 2026, our Heavenly Father took Bob with Him to his eternal home. Bob was the first-born son of Virginia Lucille Irvin and Frederick Allen McNeese.
Surviving Bob is his wife of 48 years, Olinda P. McNeese, the love of his life; forty-eight years filled with love, fun, adventures and beautiful memories and his much-loved pups, Picasso and Matisse.
He graduated from Moye Military Academy in Castroville, Texas. The Academy was run by Catholic nuns and Bob had fond memories of the school. He also attended Texas Military Institute and Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas.
On May 2, 1958, his 17th birthday, he joined the US Navy and served as a radioman at Guam Naval Station until he was honorably discharged in Miramar, California on May 1, 1962.
His career with Prudential Insurance Company began on May 26, 1962, and spanned 39 years. He was a recipient of numerous industry awards, including MILLION DOLLAR ROUNDTABLE, MILLION DOLLAR CLUB, PRESIDENT’S CITATION, NAHU, 50 YEARS GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY, ENTREPENEUR OF THE YEAR AND VICE PRESIDENT OF THE LEADERS ROUNDTABLE, to name a few.
He was an inspiration to his peers, and his work ethic had no limits. Successful careers were achieved through his mentorship. Bob’s generosity had no bounds. By choice, he was often an unrecognized benefactor.
During the 60’s, especially during Hemisfair, he was known for driving around in his eye-catching and flamboyant GTO’s. He was a Judo enthusiast and achieved a personal goal when he was awarded a Black Belt.
Bob was a movie buff and enjoyed his collection of films. He had a keen eye for art and detail, and he became an avid art collector.
He was definitely a “foodie” and knew what he liked. He was a self-taught food connoisseur, and it was an interesting experience to hear him place his food orders.
Also surviving him are his daughter, Marla McNeese Lutz and her husband Keith; son Eric A McNeese and his wife, Sarah; along with Carol, Brenda and Darren.
To honor Bob’s last wishes, there will not be any memorial services.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to a charity of your choice.
A life well lived is a precious gift
Of hope and strength and grace,
From someone who has made our world
A brighter, better place
It’s filled with moments, sweet and sad
With smiles and sometimes tears,
With friendships formed and good times shared
And laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy
Of joy and pride and pleasure,
A living, lasting memory
Our grateful hearts will treasure
