Robert Montoya, born on November 19, 1919 in Laredo, TX was called to be with our Lord on February 4, 2021 at the age of 101. He served in the U.S. Army World War II Veteran and Army Ranger. He served in the Thirty Eight United States Infantry and landed on Normandy Beach on D-Day. He received several Medals of Honor as well as 2 Purple Heart Medals. He served Civil Service for 25 years at Kelly AFB. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eustacio Montoya and Adelina Fierros Montoya; wife, Mary Louise Montoya; also, several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Paul Anthony Montoya (Sheila Ann) and Teresa Huerta; grandchildren, Juan Huerta Jr. (Sara), Julie Ann Arriaga, David E. Alderete, Jaclyn Alderete Tacoronte (Joe); great grandchildren, Roman Paul Tacoronte, Juliet Violet Tacoronte, Mia Huerta and Lucas Huerta.
The Graveside service for Mr. Montoya have been postponed until further notice due to current weather conditions.
