

It is with extremely heavy hearts to announce Robert B. Ramirez a Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, godfather & friend was called home to be with our Lord on December 02, 2017 at the age of 62; after a long and courageous battle of illnesses. Robert was a strong fighter and beat many illness battles, for he was determined to continue to live life.
He was born on December 02, 1955 in Robstown Texas to parents Rafael Ramirez and Margarita Martinez, the third child of six, during his childhood his mother divorced and remarried to Adolfo Martinez. His childhood was spent growing up with a family home filled with laughter, joy, caring and especially love from his parents and grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Manuel Bayardo, as well as his siblings. His parents supported the family by traveling up north and worked in the fields for the harvest season. Robert learned the value of a dollar and the hard work it takes to earn one. He always remembered and treasured those valued, memorable precious times. Robert married the Love of his Life Anna M. Ramirez on September 04, 1976 and was blessed with four precious children and five grandchildren, whom he was extremely proud of and were all his pride and joy. Robert was his children's guardian, protector, carer, teacher, mentor, listener and most of all their inspiration and hero. One of Robert's famous phrases was "Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings look what GOD has done." Robert shared forty-one years of marriage. A marriage surrounded with "UNCONDITIONAL LOVE" and filled with many blessed memories. They renewed their vows and celebrated their 40th anniversary on September 04, 2016 which will always be a treasured memory and kept locked in their hearts forever.
Robert was a man of great integrity in all aspects of his life, with a huge heart that deeply cared and loved his family and friends. Everyone enjoyed his humor, laughter and how much he loved to make people laugh. He was very loyal, dedicated, passionate, and a lovable family man who shared every precious moment with his wife Anna, children and grandchildren.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Rafael Ramirez and Margarita Martinez & stepfather Adolfo Martinez, he is survived by his loving wife, Anna M. Ramirez; Sons, Eric Ramirez and Greg Ramirez; Daughters, Liza Gallardo and Lesley Hernandez; Son in laws, Jacob Gallardo, Nestor Hernandez; Daughter in law, Clarissa Ramirez; Grandchildren, Alina Ramirez, Araceli Hernandez, Ariel Hernandez, Junior Hernandez and Julianna Ramirez; brothers, Oscar Ramirez, Adolfo Martinez Jr., Joe Martinez; sisters, Olga Almeida, Mary Ann Zamarripa; uncle, Ray Bayardo and nephews, nieces, cousins & godchildren.
If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you back again. "Until we meet again, my Lovies."
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15th from 7:00 to 9:00 at Porter Loring Mortuary on McCullough
