Robert Diemer Rhodes Jr.

Mr. Robert Diemer Rhodes, Jr., age 68, of San Antonio, went to be with his lord and savior February 1st, 2017. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Rosaura Cortez Rhodes. Born in Long Beach, California on September 5, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert Diemer Rhodes, Sr. and Beulah Marie Goswick. He went to John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After high school, he entered the US Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as an Army Medic, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Following his military service, he worked until retirement for the United States Postal Service in San Antonio.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife, Rosie. He was the father to Jenny Rhodes and Brandy (Roland) Hernandez of San Antonio. He was the brother of Donna Marie Rhodes of Sherman, Texas and Debra Kay Garner (Scott) of Oklahoma. His grandchildren are Matthew Hernandez, Julianne Hernandez, and Xavier Hernandez.

Memorial Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Committal Shelter Number 3 on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:30am.
