

Robert Scott “Bobby” Schrader went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy rooted in family, friendship, and hard work. He was born on October 20, 1952, in Harlingen, Texas, and was the son of E.W. and Nell Schrader.
Robert was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and accomplished entrepreneur who built several businesses throughout his life. Known for his outgoing personality, he had a gift for bringing people together and was often the life of every gathering. Whether hosting lively parties or organizing trips, he made every moment special for those around him.
He cherished the traditions he created with family and friends, including an annual family fish fry in Port Aransas and unforgettable vacations to Isla Mujeres, Mexico. In his younger years, he worked extensively in Mexico and continued to visit often, drawn by its culture and charm. He and his wife also made it a tradition to visit New Orleans each year, where they delighted in the city’s rich food and vibrant atmosphere.
A proud Texan, Robert had a profound passion for hunting, fishing, and sports. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, who were the true center of his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Schrader of San Antonio, Texas; his children, Chelsey Schrader and her husband Ryan of Austin, Texas; Scott Schrader and Travis Schrader of San Antonio, Texas; and Chad Carroll and his wife Monica of San Antonio, Texas; and his cherished granddaughter, Merida Phelps-Carroll. He is also survived by his brother, Eric Schrader and his wife Denise of Fort Worth, Texas; his nephew, Andrew Schrader and wife Jessica of Waco, Texas; and his nieces, Sarah Lindsey and husband John of Dallas, Texas, and Caroline Spalla and husband Taylor of Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service and celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 29, 2026, at The Veranda, 1746 Lockhill Selma Road, San Antonio, Texas 78213.
“To know him was to love him.” He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.
