'I was so sad to hear of the passing of Robert ('Shimpy', as he was known in the St. Mary's dorms). Shimpy and I were very good friends, he was a fine person and a good friend. We used to go to the 50 cent movies together (yes, in the afternoon the movies in those days were 50 cents!). And he would often come to my room just to talk over the issue of the day. 'Bob and my late husband, Jon (Bubba) Littrell worked together at Bexar/June Supply for a number of years and were good friends. Bob kept all laughing with his funny comments and actions. I was so sorry to learn of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.
