

Robert Isaac Terry, Jr., age 91, passed away September 16, 2014, in San Antonio. He was born January 18, 1923, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Marguerite Hyden Terry and Robert Isaac Terry, Sr. He had one brother, Frederick.
He grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended the University of Illinois.
Robert married Patricia Venable Casler in Paris, TX while on leave from the Army during World War II. They had two children, Pamela Casler Terry and Robert Isaac Terry, III. He worked as a geologist in a few places, but most of his time was spent in Corpus Christi and Houston. Robert shared the love of sailing with his family. He later took up writing and watercolor painting.
In 1977, he married Norma Guttman and shared a great love for her family and his caretakers. Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia in 1976, and his son, 2nd Lt. Ike Terry, US Marine Corps in 1967 in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Norma Guttman Terry; his daughter, Pam Fielding and husband Bill; grandchildren Bill Fielding and wife Jenifer, Kelly Hunter and husband Kyle, Trace Fielding and wife Paige; great-grandchildren Cannon, Isaac, Kristen, Bill and Jack; stepchildren, Cynthia Latham and husband William, Ralph Guttman and wife Joan; grandchildren, William Paul Latham and Chase Moriarty; and two great-grandchildren, Madden and Casen.
A private graveside was held for the family at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.
