Roberto Medellin

SSG Roberto Medellin, U.S. Army Ret., born on July 10, 1924 in Hebbronville, TX was called to be with our Lord on November 14, 2016 at the age of 92. He served in WWII and Korean Conflict and retired from the U.S. Army after 24 years of service. He also retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 26 years of Civil Service in Security Police. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gil Medellin and Enriqueta Ramirez Medellin; brothers, Evan, Ruben and Leopoldo Medellin. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alicia Medellin; children, Robert G. Medellin (Maggie), Rosalinda Carrigan (Dian), Elva Rivas (Eddie), Diana Rodriguez, Stella Alvarado and Louis Medellin; grandchildren, Alex Moreno, Michael Garcia, Joseph Rivas, Megan Medellin, David Rodriguez, Alicia Alvarado and Adam Medellin; sisters, Sara Carpenter, Lucia Scala and Thelma Collins; brothers, Rudy Medellin, and Rene Medellin; also, numerous nieces and nephews; his favorite pets, Casey, Tiger and Anabelle. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday November 17, 2016 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 4222 S.W. Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78227. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No.2.
