

Passed into the Lord’s hands on November 6, 2015, at the age of 83. Rodolfo was a charismatic and compassionate man never gave up on people and gave them lots of courage and faith with their illness. Rodolfo made may friends throughout his lifetime and was a joyful servant of the Lord. His playing of his guitar, as he said was always for the Lord. He played at Christ the King Catholic Church, St Stephen, St. Timothy, St. Jude and many other Churches in Diocese. Rodolfo was a Korean Veteran with 3 major combat wounds but said that didn’t stop him, for he was “PIPA”, a tough Indian Warrior”. Rodolfo was also a proud San Antonio VIA Bus Operator for 34 Years with no accidents and a lifelong member of the Amalgamated Union 694 and VFW. He is preceded in death by his parents Rodolfo and Carrie R. Cantu, his 1st wife Rose S. Cantu and their oldest daughter Lettie De La Rosa. Rodolfo is survived by his 2nd wife, Minerva P. Cantu, his children; Rebecca Sepulveda (Albert), Sonya Cantu, Rodolfo R. Cantu III, siblings; Irene Galindo, Tillie Matta, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandsons and 1 Great-Grandaughter. A visitation will begin on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
