Rogene Lacy Green, age 96, passed away March 4, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hix Green, Jr., and her two sisters, Faye Lacy and Verna Lacy. Rogene was born August 8, 1915 in Kingston, Texas. Her adolescent and teenage years were spent in San Angelo. She had many fond memories of growing up in West Texas. She moved to South Texas in the late 1930's and has been a resident of San Antonio for the past 60 years. She loved watching the Texas Longhorns, the Spurs, playing bridge with friends, but most of all, spending time with her family. She is survived by her two sons, Terry C. Green (Bettie) of San Antonio, and Hix Green, III (Cherry) of Corpus Christi and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed. Interment after a private family memorial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
