

Roger M Yglesias (aka “Chief”), of San Antonio Texas passed away on October 1st 2026 at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving family. Roger M. Yglesias came into the world on June 14th 1951 in San Antonio Texas the proud child of Rudolpho and Guadalupe Yglesias.
During his Senior year at Memorial High School in 1970 he went on to build a meaningful and dedicated career as a Repair Man and retired as an Air Pressure Technician at AT&T formally SBC and South Western Bell where he dedicated 40 years before retiring in February 2010. On November 2, 1974, Roger M. Yglesias married Diana Ramirez and they shared 51 beautiful years together. A loving husband to wife Diana, Roger was a pillar of strength and support for his family. Together, they raised 2 children Christopher and Stephanie. He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, love, and laughter. He cherished his family with his whole heart, and was always there for his family in every being.
Roger loved being surrounded by his family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies and interests , including building things such as decks or sheds, fishing, bowling, working on puzzles, BBQ on weekends, watching the Cowboys or Astros play, which he enjoyed sharing with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a simple yet hardworking man willing to step in and help whomever needed a hand. He brought so much joy and happiness to everyone who knew him.
Rogers legacy lives on through his surviving family: spouse, Diana Yglesias, children, Roger “Christopher” Yglesias, Stephanie Cichon-Husband Clayton Cichon, Grandchildren- Bryce, Madelyn, and Adabelle.
Roger joins in eternity his parents, Rudolpho and Guadalupe Yglesias, his sister JoAnn and his brother Robert (“Bobby”).
A funeral service to celebrate Roger’s life will be held on Monday October 5th from 5:00pm-10:00pm at Trevino Funeral Home (Del Angel) located at 226 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, TX 78237 with Rosary beginning at 7:00pm.
Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. Rest in peace, dear father. Your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
