I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Roland. I worked with him at SA Youth and also at Northside ISD. He was a great, kind man and he shared many, humorous stories of him growing up and about his travels. I will cherish his stories and the fact that I was able to meet such a wonderful man.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family, which he spoke about often. I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with Roland and to be his friend. God bless!

Roland was my friend and colleague during the years of the CASS/SEED program. He truly cared about the hundreds of young teachers from Latin American countries with whom we worked over the years. He not only taught them math games and strategies, but also performed many other services to the program and even opened his home to the teachers. I know all of them will remember him affectionately--as I do! Descanse en paz, amigo!

I would like to offer my sincere Condolences to my Aunt Lupe, My Cousins Rachel, Roland Jr., Becky, and their families.
I have very fond memories of Uncle Roland playing football and basketball with us when we were younger and later discussing sports, politics, and religion.
He was a very special man and he will be missed.
