He was preceded in death by a sister, Aurora, and a brother, Ruben. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Reina Gloria Valadez; 3 children, Roel G. Valadez and wife Linda of San Antonio, Graciela I. Valadez of Sacramento, CA, and Nora L. Casias and husband Ralph of St. Louis, MO; 5 grandchildren, Adriana C. Valadez and husband Bryan Baldwin of San Antonio, Eric D. Valadez of San Antonio, Jennifer N. Ramoz and Will of Houston, and Aaron D. Casias, and John D. Casias, both of St. Louis; 3 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Victoria, and Joshua of San Antonio; 2 brothers, Rene and Joe; 3 sisters, Gloria, Paulina, and Lamar; and many nieces and nephews.
