Born on August 8, 1960, in Goa, Camarines Sur, Philippines, Romy earned his degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Santo Tomas. After beginning his career in Manila, he moved to Hamilton, TX. He later met the love of his life, Rosalinda during a visit to San Antonio, TX. He worked briefly in East Liverpool, OH before settling in San Antonio, where Romy and Rosalinda began their lives together. He looked forward to retiring soon to spend more time with family and to travel.
Romy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He brought joy to those around him as a gifted cook and gracious host. His love of music shone through in countless karaoke gatherings shared with family and friends. A natural storyteller with a quick wit, Romy had a way of lighting up any room. His humor and positive spirit touched many lives, and he was known for his resourcefulness and dedication, whether in his professional work or personal projects. He also took great pride in his growing business in the Philippines, which he had hoped to devote more time to in the years ahead.
Romy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
