Ronald was born in 1949 in Clarinda, Iowa, to James Leslie Brown and Frances May Brown (Douthit). He grew up in southwest Iowa and graduated from South Page Community School in College Springs, Iowa, in 1968.
In 1971, he married Iris Lucille Burrell in Madison County, Iowa. Ronald earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, Missouri, graduating in 1972. The couple welcomed their son, Michael Allen Brown, in January 1974, in Maryville, Missouri.
Ronald served in the Missouri Army National Guard, enlisting in 1972. He completed basic and specialized artillery survey training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and was honorably released from active duty training in 1973. He continued his service with the Guard until completing his full term in 1978.
The family lived in Earlham, Iowa, where Ronald worked for Gendler Stone Products and Schildberg Construction Company. In 1997, he moved to Texas, settling in Pipe Creek before later making his home in Boerne. From 1998 until his retirement in 2020, he worked for Harris Road Company, where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Iris Lucille Brown, who passed away in 2003. He lived in Boerne, Texas, from 2005 until his passing. Ronald is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and most of all by the love that lives on through them.
Ronald will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and as a man known for his strong work ethic. He was respected by coworkers and family alike for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to work hard, qualities that defined his life as much as his quiet strength.
