Ronnie was born in Scottfield, IL to Coe and Coza Crabtree on January 30, 1954. He worked as a Maintenance Foreman for the City of San Antonio Water Systems (SAWS) for 11 years.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Florence Celeste Crabtree; his daughters, Courtney Hejl (Floyd Hejl Jr.) and Megan Garcia. His six grandchildren, Floyd Hejl III (Savanah), Caitlyn Hejl , Madison Garcia, Sean Garcia, Lindsey Hejl and Leigha Hejl, and three great granddaughters. In addition, he has four surviving siblings, Norma Voelkel (Ronnie), Judy Lee (Charles), Linda Griebel, and Margaret Cooper (Mark).
He is preceded in death by his parents Coe and Coza Crabtree; brother, Jesse Crabtree, and sisters, Donna Webber and Nancy Winkler.
He was charismatic, funny, and always ready to joke with anyone. He could beat on a drum like no one’s business.
