

Ronald Howard Davis, age 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 6, 2021. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born on November 3, 1946, in Denver, Colorado to Garry and Winifred Davis. He grew up in Lancaster, California. After graduation, he continued his education at Bethany Bible College. While serving in the Army in San Antonio, he met Donna Jane Rose in July of 1967 on a blind date.
On March 16,1968 he married Donna. Together, they had three children. Ron and Donna enjoyed camping together and visiting the Empty Cross and the Coming King Scripture and Prayer Garden in Kerrville, TX. Ron served in the military with the Army for 2 years. He worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life and owned his own shop for over a decade. He taught Auto Mechanics at ECHS for 12 years and continued to teach others and repair cars even after he retired. Ron’s special interests and hobbies included restoring old automobiles. He was also an intricate craftsman creating beautiful wood projects and pens which are treasured gifts given to many family members and friends. Despite his sometimes gruff exterior, deep down he was a big-hearted man who was willing to help those in need and often used his skills to help further the work of the God he loved.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Garry and Winifred. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna; sons, Aaron (wife, Cathy), Adam (wife, Kim); daughter Andi (husband, Chip); 7 grandchildren, Alex, Chelsey, Elena, Andrew, Grayson, Chase, and Bekah; and sister, Twila (husband, Guy).
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Porter Loring North. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Porter Loring North in San Antonio with interment to follow in Fort Sam National Cemetery.
