Born in Battenburg, Alberta Canada to wonderful parents, Albert Augustus McIntyre and Alice Maude Gertrude Bremner McIntyre.
He served in the Army as a member of the 95th Division, Battery B, 360th Field Artillery Unit known as "the Iron Men of the Metz" who liberated Metz, France in WWII. This division also fought in the Battle of the Bulge under General George S. Patton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Bessie Barr McIntyre; his step-mother, Glennie Kendall McIntyre and eleven brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughters: Jean Miles and husband, Ben; Joyce McDonald and husband, Robert; grandchildren: Scott McDonald, Laura McDonald and husband, Mauricio Portasio; Heather McDonald Lotts and husband, Gary; and great-grandchildren: Josie Lotts, Gavin Lotts, Branden Lotts, Kathryn Miles Pearson, Cole Pearson and Finian Butler.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
