'Elaine, As the anniversary of your mothers death nears, I wish you peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold on to.'

'Rosa and Oscar Guarjardo, Elena, Elaine, and Oscar Jr. hold a very special place in my heart and that of my son Brian. Brian was only 3 when we came to San Antonio and the whole family embraced us as one of their own. We were invited to family barbeques and family events. Mrs. Guajardo arranged an Easter Egg Hunt for Brian and provided his first opportunity to hit a piata. When he was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at age 5, Mrs. Guajardo was the only one I trusted to give him injections and he never experienced a problem while in her care. Although I lost touch with the family until recently, I'm so grateful for the period of time I had to reconnect. Mrs. Guajardo was as welcoming, kind, and loving as always. Brian and I so love this family. Mr. and Mrs. Guajardo created a wonderful home environment in which they thrived and from which they each grew into adults who share the values taught by their parents. I will miss this little lady and am so saddened to see her leave us.'

'Oscar and Rose Aurora Guajardo were my Godparents. I was so fortunate to have had them Baptise me they Loved me and treated me like their own birth child. They were very loving and supporting and I regularly visited there home. My Marina Aurora never missed a Birthday or Christmas up to entering Central Catholic High School. I went to their home on Summit and would exchange gifts. My parents Ramiro And Celia were close friends and business associates.
I am now in my 60's have a testimony of how Love and kindness by you to a person will return and lasts forever. 
Fifty years now since I would visit share meals, play with Elene, Elaine and Oscar Jr. I was reading the paper and in the Obituary I see my Marinas Obituary. All these memories of Love and kindness start coming to mind. The talks we had the Tanka trucks that to this day still have have. The days I worked at the Guajardo grocery. The memory of My Padrino giving me my Red Rider BB gun. Here fifty years llater an over whelming feelings of Love for my Godmother overtook me. All the Love they gave had finally returned in a very emotional way. When I entered the Porter Loring chapel for the Rosary I know n one then I see Elene fumbling with the microphone at the podium I could not help but laugh she looks up and sees me and gives the most beautiful smile. On the other side of the Chapel was miss Cordiality Elaine is greeting people we meet and see gives me a loving hug, I shake hands with Oscar. I just wanted to share this testimonial of this fifty year old Love buried but not lost.

'My wife and I were married in the early 1970s' and we use to live on W. Huisache. Well, at that time many of the westside community were aware of Guajardo's Grocery and Market reputation for selling good meat. So in the late 1970s you could go into the store and you had to wait in line to order your meats. Oscar and I became friends and he would recognize me when he saw me in line. At the time, I was a member of the Pan-American Optimist Club and we annually had a fund raising ball... tuxedo and all and this year's ball was going to be held at the Agudas Civic Center. Tickets were like $35 per person which was significant money at that time. So I asked Oscar if he would like to attend. He said yes.... so at our table for 10 were my wife and I, Dr. Jose Diaz and his wife Olga, Oscar and Rosa and some other folks. Oscar and Rosa had a great time dancing and socializing. Great time was had by all. This is my memory of Oscar and Rosa... God bless both of them.'

'I'll never forget meeting Rosa and Elaine at the Heights shortly after my parents moved there. They were so friendly and helpful as we made our transition there.
Our lives were enriched through their

'I don't think I will ever get used to coming to work and not having Mrs. Guajardo sitting in her usual place giving her "beauty queen" wave to me with that big smile. She made you feel like you were the most important person in the world. She was always dressed beautifully and her hair was always looking good. Complimenting her on her outfit would make her so happy. Always kind, even when she was telling you no to something. She was a bright shining star and we will miss her so much. Elaine and Oscar, there is a special place in heaven for you guys taking such good care of her and always being there to be her advocate. Always treating her with love and respect and making sure she was well cared for. Thank you for allowing us at the Heights on Huebner to care for her and know her for so long.'

'Mrs. Guajardo was a lovely lady, always had a bright smile and cute wave that greeted me each day. It was an honor to have known her. I sure will miss her.'

'I've loved Rosa dearly, starting on the Monday of Thanksgiving week over 7 years ago. She always came to "church" looking her best. When I'd go get her, we always had to stop by the mirror to be sure her hair was in place (it always was). She and her family have always been a blessing to be with.
