Rosario was my first friend when I moved to Stuttgart July 2023.  Our mutual friend, Stacy Nyikos,  told me as I was moving from The Hague, “you have to meet Rosario, she is an incredible woman and I think you’ll be instant friends.”  Stacey flew to Stuttgart and introduced me to Rosario over breakfast. We were instant friends. As so many friends and family have shared, the theme of her love of Christ, her love for her husband David and beautiful daughters, and love for others was , and will continue to be, an incredible gift to all of us her knew and loved our precious Rosario.  When I think of her radiant smile, Christlike spirit and depth of her soul, I’m thankful for the three years I knew her. She was one of a kind. 
What has struck me most was how she graciously, courageously and Christlike handled her battle with cancer. Every time I visited her there was the radiance of her soul shining brightly. I would ask her if she could feel Jesus, and she would squeeze my hand, and say yes with a heavenly presence about her. What an incredible gift she was/is to so many!! Kiana, Sydney, Hannah and Elizabeth I send you all so much love and pray comfort, courage and strength in the days to come. You are all a beautiful reflection of your mother and her greatest legacy. David, God’s strength , courage and comfort to you as well! You and your daughters took such incredible care of Rosario. I can imagine she is praying over all of you in heaven!! Rosario, well done good and faithful servant!! Rest in your heavenly father’s arms.

Dear Cousin Rosario Seelen,

This is more than a final message to you, it is a heartfelt thank you.

Thank you for being the remarkable person you were and for the legacy you leave behind. We will always remember you as compassionate, humble, deeply devoted to your family, and an extraordinary human being whose kindness touched countless lives.

You will be deeply missed, but your love, faith, and example will continue to live on in our hearts and memories. Thank you for bringing our family together whenever you visited Nicaragua, creating moments we will cherish forever. Thank you for faithfully sharing the Gospel wherever you went and for showing generosity and genuine love to everyone you met whether they were family, lifelong friends, or complete strangers.

To the entire Seelen family, please always remember that you have a family here in Nicaragua. Whenever you feel ready to visit again, know that our home and our hearts will always be open to you. It would be a blessing to spend time together and continue celebrating the beautiful bond that Rosario helped strengthen.

May her memory continue to be a source of love, strength, comfort, and peace for everyone who was blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us in person, the impact of her life will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

Rosario was one of my best friends. She was such an amazing woman of God. I will miss her so much. I thank God for allowing me to spend the past 3 years with her in Germany. We did so many things together. We even walked my dog through beautiful flower fields. My memories of her are everywhere I go. 
I always looked up to her and the love she spread to others. 
It is hard to imagine our lives without her. May God give her family comfort and strength . 
My beautiful friend is now in His arms resting in peace. 
She will live in our hearts forever.

I have had the great fortune to know Rosario since she allowed Dave to start dating her. I’m saddened that she is gone and will miss knowing how much she was improving the world. I have no doubt she is in Heaven. I’ll continue praying for Dave and all her kids.

Rosario was beautiful, confident, and truly one of a kind. She always had beautiful hair and nails and jewelry and clothes, but the real beauty came from her soul. She was a woman of the Lord, a faithful prayer warrior whose faith inspired everyone around her. Her strength, grace, and unwavering love for God made her unlike anyone else. She will always be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of so many. I will carry her lessons with me throughout life.

I was so saddened to hear of her passing. I met her while we were stationed at Fort Lewis through women's ministry, and she became such a special part of my life. She had a way of encouraging everyone around her, and I was blessed to serve alongside her. As a prayer coordinator—and later as my own prayer partner—she taught me what it truly meant to pray with boldness, faith, and power. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life.
She also had the biggest smile and the most joyful laugh that could brighten any room. And I'll never forget the time she taught me how to make her salsa. I still make it for my family to this day, though it never quite tastes as good as hers.
Her kindness, faith, and joyful spirit left a lasting mark on my heart. She will be deeply missed, but I find comfort in knowing this is not goodbye. I look forward to seeing her again someday in heaven. Until then, thank you for the beautiful legacy you leave behind.

Such a blessed day in the Black Forrest sipping hot tea and indulging in Black Forrest Cake with the most amazing friend, mentor and sister in Christ!

I met Rosario through another military wife/friend Kasandra (Lackland AFB). Her youngest was a little baby. We hit it off instantly! There is so much to say about her - the woman, mother, wife, the ultimate prayer warrior. She was encouraging, uplifting, followed up with LAUGHS! Rosario was non judgemental and steady in the word. I can recall two specific times that she spoke life into me and she never knew I needed it but God did; that's what genuine friendship should look like. She told me how beautiful I was etc etc and during that time I didn't feel that way about myself. Her speaking affirming words was one of the kindest and I've never forgotten it. Several years later, Rosario and I saw each other at Ramstein where my family was stationed and we had a small window to see each other and she made it happen. 2hr lunch, prayer, laugh and hugs. Again she showed up with words of wisdom and her radiant smile! I pray her girls know how much love and life Rosario poured into others; to her family.  Her LEGACY is far and wide! I pray her husband is able to have peace and know our sweet lady is no longer suffering but soaring! I pray all of her friends continue Blessing others as she did; intentionally.

My heart is breaking for you all. Rosario taught me so much. Her first lesson was that I need to worship fully. None of the half arm raises I used to do. We are all in for worshipping the Risen Lord. He deserves all our praise. She taught me to praise loudly and strongly.  But the thing I remember perfectly is how she prayed. She prayed for each of her kids and her amazing husband every time we prayed together. She prayed for so many people over the years.   I can't wait to see my dear friend in heaven.  She will be teaching everyone to raise their hands and praise the Lord.  Praying God's healing and strength on all of you.  Jennifer Wake
