Rosemary was a believer in Jesus Christ, and her favorite book was the Holy Bible. She had 2 Children,14 Brothers and Sisters, 3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great- Great Grandchildren. Rosemary grew up as a young lady in San Angelo and met her husband Fred Britt at Longfellow AFB. They settled in San Antonio where she worked many years as the Head Cashier at Handy Andy. After Fred’s passing, she married Judd DeGroat Jr. She loved to Travel, cherished the Spurs and Cowboys but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Rose is survived by her sons, Garry R. Britt, wife Denise Britt and Terry E. Britt; and granddaughters, Elycia Foley and husband Chad Foley, Jordan Britt, Angela Kerr and husband Dwight Kerr.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
A committal service will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
