Rose Marie Lavelle

Rose Marie Lavelle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Friday, September 17, 2004. Rose was born at Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio on May 12, 1924. She was the only child of Joseph Jack Clinton and Marie Staff Clinton. She was raised in San Antonio and Victoria where she graduated from Nazarene Academy. Rose was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She was past president of the Altar Society, a member of the St. Rose of Lima Circle, Blessed Sacrament Circle, Liturgy Committee, Eucharistic Minister, Allied Women's Center, San Antonio Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women, North Urban Deanery and Campus Ministry at San Antonio College, Seton Home and an associate member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.

Rose was also an active member and Social Chairperson of the Irish Cultural Society. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James P. Lavelle; sons, Robert B. Stiles, Jr. and wife Deb, Doss M. Stiles, step-children, Edward F. Lavelle and wife Clare, George G. Fontenot and wife Randy, Jimmie B. Fontenot and wife Doris and Linda Fontenot; sister-in-law, Rose Smith; grandchildren, Cindy Silverstein, Wendy Power, Robert Stiles III, Scott Stiles, Brandy Pounds, and Lindsay David; great-grandchildren, Katie, John and Grace Blair, Ellen Williams, Shelby and Jett Power, Rachel and Shane Cole, Ben and Sydney Rose Stiles, Marcus, Madason Rose and Savanah David. The pallbearers will be: Robert Stiles III, Scott Stiles, Brandon Fontenot, Matthew Trognitz, John Blair, John Hammack, Brad Silverstein and DeShay Pounds.
