Rose Cristarella Sefcik, age 92, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 5, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas, to parents, Ofelia and Carmelo Cristarella. Rose worked for SAISD for many years and was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sefcik. Rose is survived by sisters-in-law, Ann Sefcik and Helen Sefcik, nephew and numerous nieces along with an extended family in Italy, who will miss her dearly.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209.
Father Kevin Shanahan will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78266.
