

She will be long remembered as a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother and friend.
She was born in Galveston, TX on April 30, 1922, where she lived until she married her high school sweetheart in 1942.
Mrs. Ivey, a 50-year resident of San Antonio, enjoyed a full life that included traveling the world, playing bridge, oil painting, church activities, and helping others.
She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, St. Matthew's VIP Club, Super Adults, and Marymont Chapter 2239 AARP.
Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her first husband of 46 years, Lt. Col. James C. Lobit, her sister, June Powell, and her stepdaughter Kathryne Bridges.
She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Edwin Ivey and 3 children, 5 stepchildren, 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons: daughter, Patsy Smith, son-in-law, Don, grandchildren Miles and Natalie of Seguin, TX; daughter Martha Failing, son-in-law, Greg, grandsons Grant, Ross, and Chase; son, Thomas Lobit, daughter-in-law, Linda, grandchildren James and Amanda; her 5 stepchildren: Eddy Bridges and wife Cheri, grandchildren Angela and Dennis Kleppe, great-grandsons Trey, Travis, and Tyler; Pamela and Shawn Johnson, great-grandson Conner; Ed Ivey III and wife Angela, grandchildren Erik and Ryan Ivey, and Clint Hamlin of Gainesville, GA, Mary Heineke and husband Charles, grandchildren Larayne McGowen, Grant Glidewell, and C.J. Heineke of San Diego, CA, Elizabeth Murray and husband Patrick and grand-daughters Eleanor, Emily, and Elaine of Kerrville, TX, Sara Cooper and grand-daughter Rachel Cooper of Houston, TX, Helen Maldonado and husband Oscar and grand-daughters Harley and Angelique Maldonado of Katy, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, wonderful neighbors and friends.
She was a wonderful and remarkable woman who touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
As an avid animal lover, Mrs. Ivey would appreciate a donation to the Animal Defense League in lieu of flowers.
