Rosemary Perez Alarcon, born June 26, 1936, in Houston, Texas to parents, Virginia Asher and Eusebio C. Perez. On July 24, 2025 at the age of 89, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones throughout the day. Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Rosemary married the love of her life, Leonardo Alarcon in Sequin, Texas in 1954. They enjoyed 67 beautiful years together, never leaving each other’s side. They loved searching for antiques and fishing.
Rosemary had many former coworker friends from her many years at Krueger Middle School NEISD. Later, she made many new friends at the local Blessed Angels Senior Community Center.
Rosemary is survived by sisters: Virgina Asher Garcia, Margaret Gibson, Martha Perez Rubalcava; brothers: Tony Perez, Eusebio (Junior) Perez and their loving spouses. In addition, there are many caring nieces and nephews.
Rosemary is survived by her children: Cindy (Alarcon) Hagdorn (husband Steve), Leonardo Alarcon Jr. (wife Rebecca), Richard (Rick) Alarcon (wife Kimberly). Grandchildren: Stephen Hagdorn Jr., Sean Hagdorn, Alexis Rose Alarcon Johnson, Richard Emil (Ricky) Alarcon. Great Grandchildren: Harper Rose Hagdorn, Rebel Hagdorn, Harlow Hagdorn, Cayden Johnson, Richard Roy (Richie) Alarcon, and baby girl Johnson in production.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Porter Loring Mortuary North with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral mass will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
