Rosemary B. Silva

On Sunday, January 2, 2022, Rosemary Silva, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter passed away at the age of 60. Rosemary was born on April 2, 1961 in San Antonio to Frank and Matilde. On November 17, 2010, Rosemary married her soulmate, Arturo Silva, and has joined him now in heaven. She was blessed with two wonderful children, Rudy Garza, and Rachel Lopez and her husband Felipe Lopez. She was the doting grandmother to five grandchildren, Rudy Garza III, Marissa Reyes, Ryan Garza, Jacklyn Lopez, and Ryanna Garza and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary had a passion for taking care of others. Being a place of love and comfort for all of her family and friends was her greatest joy in life. Her door was always open to those who needed a place to stay, an ear to listen, or a shoulder to lean on. She took this passion and love for helping others into her career with the San Antonio Independent School district where she was a much loved bus driver. Her compassionate heart will be missed.

Rosemary was preceded in death by father, Frank; husband, Arturo; and brothers, Roland, Richard, and Frank. She is survived by her mother, Matilde; her siblings, Joe, David, Michael, Robert, Janie, Matilde, Diana, Sally, Ofelia, and Odelia; her children, Rudy, and Rachel; her grandchildren, Rudy, Marissa, Ryan, Jacklyn, and Ryanna; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Porter Loring Mortuary located on McCullough Avenue.
