
Roxie Ada Henson Booth, born to Arnold and Eva Henson in Morgan Mill on August 13, 1908, died in San Antonio at the age of 93 on July 11, 2002. She married Cecil Booth in 1927. Their only child and beloved son, Wesley, was born 17 years later. They lived in Stephenville from 1952 until retirement in 1977 when they moved to the San Antonio area to be close to their son and his family. Roxie, a model homemaker, was devoted to her granddaughters, Shana and Jeni. A lifelong Baptist, Roxie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stephenville and of Churchill Baptist Church in San Antonio. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Fay, sister, Alvis, and her husband Cecil, to whom she had been married for 60 years at the time of his passing in 1987. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Jan Booth of Spring Branch, TX; two granddaughters and their husbands, Shana and Kevin Fowler of Austin, TX, Jenifer and Jason Morrison of Richmond and three great-grandchildren, Chance Morrison, Jackson Fowler and Grace Fowler.
