He was born June 29, 1928, in Westphalia, Texas, to Paul and Genece Boeselt.
He worked the cotton fields as a boy until age 16 when he left home to work for Bargs Bottling in San Antonio. After working with Bargs Bottling, Roy served in the US Army.
He married Mitzi Mills and had 3 children.
An agent for Allstate insurance for 32 years, Roy, won many honors and awards.
The last 10 years of his life were an amazing testimony to God's grace and restoration, as he survived a long complicated illness. Mitzi lovingly cared for him at home for the remainder of his life. Despite his health problems Roy loved life, enjoyed working in the yard, and spending time with his family.
We take great comfort from the Scripture "Yes we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8
Roy is survived by his wife, Mitzi Boeselt; sons, Darrell Boeselt and wife, Pam, Randy Boeselt and wife, Suzanne; daughter, Lisa Carper and husband, Nick; sisters, Betty Freeman, Laura Wilkerson and Catherine Skrehot; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy, Brett and Elizabeth Boeselt, Carly and Reid Boeselt, Lincoln, Carolyn and Christina Carper; great-granddaughter, Emily Boeselt.
