Roy S. Esparza, age 67, of San Antonio, was called by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 13, 2009.
Roy played quarterback for Fox Tech High School, graduating in 1961. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Roy worked for Kelly AFB and the City of San Antonio. After retirement, he was employed by SAISD.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Irene Esparza.
Survivors: Mary Maldonado; children, Leticia Esparza, Michele Esparza Rodriguez and Ross, Roland Esparza, Caroline R. Esparza-Pena and Alexander, and Mario R. Esparza and Deborah, and their mother, Anita R. Esparza; grandchildren: Felicia, Jacqueline, Katelyn, Myrella, Alexander Jr., Arianna and Catalina; stepchildren, Jessica Aleman, Martha Aleman and Ruben Aleman; step grandchildren, Victor, Jr., Christopher, Alexis, Anasiah, Ashton and Jayden; brother, Bobby and Rosie; sisters, Anna Marie Esparza and Olga E.
