Roy William Haas passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at age 72. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Staffel); daughters, Andrea Pearson-Haas & Lindsay Paramore; son-in-law, Chad Paramore; grandchildren, Joseth Parker, CJ Paramore & Logan Paramore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Flora (Fric) Haas, and brothers, Gary, & Kenneth. His siblings are Leslie Haas (Patty), Anne Wilson (Bryan), Therese Schmidtke (Freddie), and Emilie Respondek (Ronnie) and Steve Haas; sisters-in-law, Debbie & Diane. Roy had numerous nieces and nephews; plus two exchange student sons: Manu (Argentina) & Daxi (China).
Roy was born February 17, 1949 and lived most of his life in San Antonio. He attended La Salle High School, received a BS from St. Marys University and a Masters & PhD in Statistics from Southern Methodist University. His passions were research, teaching, & learning.
