We always had fun with Roy. For many years Roy and my mother, Olivia would open their home for the annual Camp Huitt gathering which was especially fun and memorable. Many of the Betsill clan and their friends would gather for the weekend to float the Guadalupe or Comal river. Later there would be a feast along with stories and games. We were always guaranteed to have a fabulous and fun time.
During this time, Roy was always a gracious and loving host. I truly believe he enjoyed these gatherings as much as we did.
