He retired as an Engineer from the San Antonio Fire Department, after 40 years, and was very proud of not ever using a day of sick leave.
He was founder of RL Lacey Roofing Co. and was a homebuilder.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Gertrude M. Lacey; sons, Roy Lacey, Jr. and David Lacey; daughter, Gertrude Ann Jaggy; 4 sisters; 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughters, Cecilia Lamza Clem; Catherine Laubach Larry; and Joanne Schneider Harry; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
