Roy Allen "Cowboy" Melancon Jr.

Roy Allen “Cowboy” Melancon, born March 30, 1959, in Orange,Texas, went to join his Heavenly Father at 4:23 AM on March 3,2016. Preceeded by his Mother Nell Russell, Sister Rhonda Martin and Grandmother Katie Plummer. He Moved to Anacoco,La in 2005 to help care for his ailing Mother.

He is Survived by wife of 30 Years Nancy Sutton Melancon, Children: Mack and wife Lara Melancon, Denise and husband Ken Zimostrad, John and wife Sheila Huber, Brother in law Larry and wife Jackie Sutton, Loving PawPaw to Mason Melancon, Hailee Shook, Caitlin Lacy, Chane Lacy, Chandler Lacy, Ryan and wife Lara Brock, Shelby Huber. Loving Gpaw to Elliot Lacy and Brookelynn Cabit, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was an avid bowler for several years and worked as a Home Builder and Construction for 20 years in San Antonio Tx before moving to Anacoco,La. While in Anacoco he loved and worked Teaching and delivering Live Ammo to the Soldiers at Fort Polk La.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home from 6-9PM. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 9AM at Sunset Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

HE WAS LOVED AND WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.
