She was born July 21, 1903 in Medina County, Texas, to the late Phillip and Anna Eichhorn Haass.
She lived a long pleasant life and was a lovely lady, a wonderful, caring mother and friend to many.
She is survived by her son, Myron H. Newman of Houston, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband of 41 years, Albert Richard "Dick" Newman, preceded her in death on January 18, 1965, and her son, Virgil P. Newman, preceded her on May 30, 1991. She was also preceded by five brothers, Arthur, Arnold, Monroe, Herbert and Paul Haass and five sisters, Josephine Haass Bendele, Clarice Haass Garteiser, Lorene Haass née Haass, Ethel Haass Sauls, and Lillian Haass née Haass.
