Ruby Jo Reininger

After attending John Tarlton Junior College in Stephenville, she received a B.A. degree from Texas Womens University in 1937. Jo taught Home Economics at Georgetown High School in Georgetown, Texas and Ursuline Academy in San Antonio, Texas.

On June 25, 1939, in Georgetown, Texas, she married Waldo Reininger, a prominent advertising sales manager for Sears and Roebuck Company. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1979.

Jo was a loyal and faithful member of Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church for 60 years serving as a Deacon and an Elder. She was active in the American Association for University Women, Parent Association for the Retarded of Texas and volunteered for many years with the Women's Auxiliary at Northeast Baptist Hospital.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail M. Evans and Beverly C. Reininger both of San Antonio, Texas; her son, Reid A. Reininger and wife, Kay of Severn, Maryland; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Frankie Ketchum of New Braunfels, Texas; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank caregivers Aurora Cantu and Rose Delgado for their loving care and compassion and VITAS Hospice.

She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
