He was retired from Southwestern Bell and treasurer of the First Marine Division.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Russel is survived by his wife, Jeaniene Jolley; daughter, Lynn Bandy and husband, Russell; son, John Farris; brother; James Jolley and wife Sandra; grandsons, Casey Bandy and wife Robyn, and Justin Farris and wife Valerie; granddaughter, Shanna Lynn Bandy; and great-grandson, Reid Farris.
