Rusty worked at San Antonio International Airport for over 40 years and had a positive impact on each life he touched. He was selfless and always put everyone before himself. His life made the world a better place and his death will leave a void. He was a sportsman who loved the Spurs, coached his daughters' basketball games, and never missed a Saturday morning pick-up game. He loved his 1970 Buick GS 455, which he drove in high school, drag raced, and eventually restored to concours show condition. He will be forever remembered as a loving, devoted husband and family man. His memory will continue to guide his family and he will be forever loved and remembered.
He was preceded in death by his father, Irv Weinman and his mother, Phyllis Weinman. Rusty is survived by his loving wife, Gwen Fowler; children, Kristy King and husband, Allan, Jody Weinman, Julia Fowler, Katelyn Weinman, Keri Weinman, Jonathan Fowler and Galvin Fowler; grandchildren, Haylie and Alek King; brothers, Phil Weinman and wife, Terri, Ray Weinman and wife, Vicki, Bruce Weinman and wife, June, James Weinman and wife, Jami; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends starting at 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, with a celebration service of Rusty's life at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
