Ruth Starkey Duncan Mrs. Robert Duncan, born February 19, 1908, in Greeley, CO., passed away in San Antonio March 7, 2002. A well-known oil and watercolor artist, Ruth had been a member of PEO Sisterhood, Delta Gamma Alumnae, American Artists Professional League, River Art Group, and Society of Western Artists. She received her AA Degree from Stephens College and her BFA degree from the University of Oklahoma. She received the Order of Delta Gamma Rose Award for success in her chosen field with National Acclaim and was listed in Who's Who in American Art.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, William; brother, Edwin Starkey; and sister, Alice Russell. She is survived by her son, Dean and his wife, Barbara; grandsons, Randall and his wife, Tammy, and Steven and his wife, Minvi; granddaughter, Tracey Williams and her husband, Geoff; nieces, Mary Alice Western, and husband, John, Sue Ragland and her husband, Cruger, and Alsie Lea Murdoch; and three great-grandchildren.
