Ruth graduated from Orchard Park High School. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from Fredonia State Teachers College in Fredonia, NY. Prior to a career as an Air Force wife traveling the world and pursuing her teaching career she was the first owner of The Orchard Downs Restaurant in Orchard Park, New York.
She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Joseph Finnegan of Buffalo, NY. She is survived by her son, Robert J. Finnegan, Jr. of York, PA; daughter, Patricia F. Kersey of Edenton, NC and grandsons, Ryan P. Finnegan and Connor T. Finnegan.
A memorial services to celebrate her life will be held at 'The Towers' on Park Lane and will be announced in the near future. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
