Ruth "Rusty" Walker Goetzel

Nina Ruth Walker Goetzel (Rusty), born Lometa, TX November 9, 1927 ended her long goodbye May 10, 2021. She was our very loved and loving wife, Mommy, and Granny. She had a long and fulfilling career in commercial insurance but family always came first for her. Rusty is preceded in death by her parents, George and Quimby Walker, her 8 siblings and husband Gene, the love of her life. Survivors include daughters Marsha (Don), Gail (Tom), grandson Michael (Lisa), many nieces and nephews, and a very loving extended family.

The family appreciates the expert and tender care of the staff at Carol Ann’s Home Memory Care and Four Seasons hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s association in Rusty’ s memory or donations to the education fund of any child are appreciated.

A Celebration of Rusty’ s Memory may be held at a later date.
