Ruth Anna Harlan, age 92, went home on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in San Antonio. She was born on March 15, 1919 in Lafayette, Indiana to James McDoniels and Edith Bell. Ruth was a long time resident of San Antonio. As one of the Greatest Generation she served her country as a military wife. She served God as a devoted member of San Pedro Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by, her husband, Col. Dane W. Harlan, USAF Ret.; and her daughter, Sue Alley. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Bonita Muthersbaugh; granddaughter, Amber Muthersbaugh Kent; and great grandson, Cole Elijah Kent.
