Ruth Mings Minton

Juanita Ruth Mings Minton, 89, passed away at Eden Hill Communities in New Braunfels on August 20, 2015. Ruth was born June 16, 1926 in San Antonio to James and Emma Smith. A life-long resident of San Antonio, Ruth graduated from Brackenridge High School, class of 1943. Her business career was spent in the insurance industry and she worked for many years in Management at USAA.

Ruth is survived by step-children Susan Mings Winter, Penny Mings Bueker (James), Dan Mings (Lindy), Sarah Mings, Evelyn Minton Sandlin (Jack) and Willard Minton (Patricia). She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands John Mings and W.C. “Bill” Minton, step-son-in-law Les Winter, and step-children David Mings, Mary Mings Urban and Henry Minton.

Burial was private. A Memorial Service will take place at San Pedro Presbyterian Church, 14900 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232 on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth’s name can be made to the San Pedro Presbyterian Church, Sunshine Fund.
