Born on December 16, 1935, to Francis and Ruth Markgraf, Nel lived a life filled with grace, beauty, and devotion to family. She was crowned Miss Fiesta in 1955, a title that reflected her radiant spirit and the deep pride she held for her city.
On August 18, 1956, Nel married the love of her life, Donald G. Norris. Together, they built a life rooted in love, faith, and family until his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother (Fred Markgraf) and now rejoins them in eternal rest.
Nel is survived by her loving children, Donell Creamer (Casey), Lori Atkins (Mickey), and Jeff Norris (Brandi). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Creamer, Christie Boubel, Fawn Rodman (George), Samantha Dahlberg (Tony), Kelli Fuller (Rob), Sydney Norris, and Greyson Norris.
She was also a proud great-grandmother to Jordan Proscia, Baker Rodman, Brooklyn Boubel, Bradley Boubel, William Rodman, Nora Rodman, Riley Fuller, Wells Dahlberg, and Kennedy Fuller.
Nel will be remembered for her warmth, elegance, and the unconditional love she gave to her family. Her laughter, stories, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Nel’s life will be held on July 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Community Bible Church, 2477 North Loop 1604 E. San Antonio, Texas 78232.
