Ruth Petty, age 82, died on Sunday, October 6, 2002 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on June 10, 1920 in Ermine, KY, to parents, John, and Sally Hall. She was a longtime employee at Kelly AFB, retiring after 30 years. She recently lived at LBJ Lake. She loved to write and took great joy in the accomplishments of her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Devere Carroll "DC" Petty, a San Antonio Fireman and beloved friend, Col. James Marchbanks. She is survived by her daughter, San Antonio Attorney, Michele Petty; grandchildren, Janelle Chapman and Zachary Chapman; and sister, Norah Webb.
