She is preceded in death by her husband, Jarrell T. Ranne, her brothers Robert Williams, Steven Williams and sister Lois Williams Leonard.
She is survived by her children Daphne Ranne-Meade, Janis Ranne, Jarrell Ranne, and Darrell Ranne.
Ruth was a nature lover especially her flowers and animals. She always kept in touch with all her classmates that she grew up with and those from Edison High School, where she graduated.
