Ruth had been a resident of San Antonio since 1950 and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Tafel and son, Victor Tafel, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Pedro Cerisola; her daughter-in-law, Helen Tafel; her granddaughters and their husbands, Patricia and Flavio Mansi, Andrea and Alexis Marquard, Francesca and Angus Butler; and great grandchildren, Francesca, Pedro, Andres, Flavio, and Marina.
