Born February 28, 1956, in the Bethesda Naval Hospital, Maryland to Swen Paul Swenson and Ayse Yatman, she married Nestor A. (Tony) Sierra Sr. on August 28, 1982, in South Lake Tahoe, California.
Surviving is Nestor A. (Tony) Sierra Sr. with whom she made her home: one Daughter, Christine Michelle Sierra of San Antonio; two sons, Nestor A. Jr. of San Antonio; and Zachary Kyle Sierra (and Bethany) of New Jersey: four grandchildren; Cossette Elizabeth Sierra, William Anthony (Teddy)Sierra, Ambrose Jefferson Sierra and Ephraim John Sierra.
Graduate of University of Texas San Antonio, Accounting Major, became a licensed CPA in Texas until retirement. Worked at Medical Command San Antonio in the development of the TriCare Program, worked at Moss Landing , Monterey County, California, during the October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Worked at the Pentagon in budgeting. As a GS-13 worked in the VA Center in San Antonio and worked at San Antonio City Collage until retirement.
The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary. A committal service will take place Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd.
