Sammie Pantuso of San Antonio entered rest on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the age of 85. A true sportsman at heart, Sammie loved being outdoors. He particularly loved fishing, hunting and golf. He was also very proud of his service in the United Sates Navy aboard the U. S. S. Baltimore. He was preceded in death by his sons, Dino and David Pantuso; step daughter, Kathy Briggs and grandson David Briggs. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Martha; step son, James Curl and wife Lola; step daughter, Gayle Crouch; grandchildren, Michael Briggs, Sherry Land, Gené Sizemore, Lindsey Rosas and Allison Webb; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild; sister, Rose Marie Granieri and husband Anthony; nephew, Frank Granieri; niece, Mary Ann Granieri; numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 3:00pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 758 W. Ramsey, San Antonio, TX.
