

His education included the San Antonio Academy, Texas Military Institute, Sewanee Military Academy and the University of Texas.
His passion was the outdoors and especially the water. His career took him to many ports of call including Rockport, Ft. Lauderdale, the Caribbean and Costa Rica. His final port of call was Lake McQueeney where he ran a water ski school at Lake Breeze Ski Lodge and mentored many young people.
He was known as the Pied Piper of children. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his story telling, his love of Texas history and as a man of principle. He lived life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Betty Fay Muir; and his uncle, A.H. Buddy Cadwallader III. Survivors: wife, Jackie G. Muir, McQueeney, TX; daughter, Jennifer E. Laramore; granddaughter, Caroline Ashley Laramore, both of New Braunfels, TX; sisters, M. Carol Muir and Sabin Muir Nelson and companion, Patrick Keough, all of San Antonio; brother, E. Douglas Muir, Palm Desert, CA; nephews, John M. Nelson and wife, Joanne, Dallas, TX and James M. Nelson, St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands; brother-in-law, Charles Drake Greene and wife, Suzanne, Tacoma, WA and their son, Charlie Greene; sister-in-law, Susan Crisp Greene and her daughter, Christine Bice, McQueeney, TX; cousins, Cyndy Cadwallader Ochse and husband, Willie, Randy Cadwallader and wife, Michele and Jeff Cadwallader.
