

Samuel Calvert Willoughby, age 27, went to live in eternity on May 26, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Samuel was born to Trae and Kenda Willoughby on May 18, 1996, in San Antonio Texas.Sam was a graduate of Alamo Heights High School where he participated and lettered in Special Olympics Bowling. His time was spent enjoying the movies of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, Frosty the Snowman, Peter Pan, Dumbo, and The Wizard of Oz. He was a connoisseur of enchiladas whether frozen or from Taco Cabana. His favorite meals always consisted of french fries from Whataburger and Chick-fil-a with lots of ketchup. He loved to swing in the front yard and listen to the wind and cars as they passed by. He loved to wait for everybody even though sometimes they were already there! He loved to put together puzzles, color with markers and crayons, ride horses, and hang out on the bean bag for a good nap. In his 27 years of life, he walked every day bringing his contagious smile and joyful laughter into people’s lives. He impacted his peers, his family, and his classmates to a magnificent magnitude of positivity and love.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Ann Henson; and his uncles, Brent Henson, and Bart Henson. Samuel is survived by his parents, Trae and Kenda Willoughby; his brother, Noah Willoughby; his paternal grandparents, Bob (B-Bob) and Ruth (Mia) Willoughby; his aunts, Heather Eason and husband, Dan, and Sarah Reininger and husband, Heath; and his cousins, Kelton, Parker and Emily Eason, Morgan and Haleigh Trager, Jakob and Alex Reininger, and Kenneth Henson.
